Anna Ruth Hammes, age 90, of Fairfield, Iowa, died Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Park Place Elder Living in Mt. Pleasant. 

Ruth was born January 18, 1933, in Washington, Iowa, to Joseph and Eleanor (Pollmiller) Conrad.  She married John Marvin Hammes, January 27, 1953, in Keota, Iowa. He preceded her in death July 22, 2011.
