Arnold Weirup is a native of Maquoketa, Iowa. He received his Iowa State Funeral Director's License in 1988 and joined the staff here at Behner Funeral Home. Arnie and his wife, Denise, are the parents of a son, Kyle and twin daughters, Kayla and Krystal. Denise is the Secretary and After Care Coordinator. The family attends Fairfield Friends Church.
Jim Salts and wife, Joan. Jim retired from the National Guard in 2002. They are the parents of one son and have four grandchildren. They are members of the First United Methodist Church, Fairfield, IA.
Rich Schaub is retired Iowa National Guard. He is a member of the Fairfield Lions. He and his wife Leigh Ann attend the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Fairfield. Rich is the father of two children and grandfather to two.
Upon retiring February 2015 he and Leigh Ann have moved to Tennessee.

Leigh Ann Schaub
Leigh Ann was born and raised in Fairfield, the daughter of Dale and Betty Simmons. She has 1 brother: John Simmons, who lives in Keosauqua.
She moved away for 40 years, retired in 2009 and moved back to Fairfield. She has 2 daughters, 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
She married Rich Schaub on December 21, 2012. As of February 2015 Leigh Ann and Rich have retired and moved to Tennessee.

Dennis Smithburg was born in Fairfield. Moved to Phoenix in 1964. In 1965 Dennis married Carolyn Kinyon of Tipton. She moved to Arizona and they both completed High School in Phoenix. Dennis graduated from Arizona State in 1971. Dennis and his family returned to Fairfield in 1974. He taught in the Fairfield District for 10 years. Dennis was Supervisor at Fairfield Aluminum for 10 years and Maintenance Supervisor for Dexter Foundry for 10 years. Retired 2009 to the farm. Dennis and Carolyn have 8 children, 25 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.
Fred & Nancy Behner
Fred received his Funeral Director License in 1976 and joined his father here at Behner Funeral Home. Fred retired November 2012 when he sold the funeral home to Arnold and Denise Weirup.
Nancy is a teacher at Libertyville Elementary School. Nancy and Fred have five grandchildren.
Fred and Nancy are members of the First United Methodist Church in Fairfield. Their combined memberships include: P.E.O., Masonic Lodge AF & AM 15, B.P.O.E. #1192, KAABA Shrine Club of Davenport, Eagles Lodge #1927, Fairfield Kiwanis, Lion's Club, Rotary, Iowa Funeral Directors Assoc., Illinios FDA, Missouri FDA, and CANA, as well as Fairfield CommunityTrojan Boosters.
Leland Gookin was born in Fremont, Nebraska and grew up in Chariton, Iowa. He and his family moved here in 1952, where he was Parts Manager for Jefferson Motor Company and later at Fesler Auto Mall. He is father to a son and a daughter, grandfather to 6 grandchildren and has a great-granddaughter.
