Tyler Scott Stein

Tyler Scott Stein age 56, formerly of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away July 17, 2021, at his home in Fairfield, IA.

Tyler was born August 24, 1964, in Sterling, IL. to Donald Lawrence and Judy Ann (Powell) Stein.

Tyler left home at a young age and headed south where he worked as a dishwasher on the Mississippi queen. There he quickly fell in love with all things food. Tyler’s passion was garmache art. Over his 25 yr. career he created food sculptures for countless events. Including the annual Passover event held at the Eden Roc Hotel in Miami.

Tyler loved people and really made a point to connect with every person he crossed paths with. He will be greatly missed by so many. He loved spending time riding his motorcycles and spent countless hours at the beach fishing, snorkeling and just enjoying life.

Tyler is survived by his two sons, Justin (Meloney) Stein of Fairfield and Brandon (Cherell) Stein of Opelika, AL; 5 grandchildren, Kaitzen, Jayce, Madelyn, Gabriel and Emma; two siblings, Tracy Stein and Todd Stein both of Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Judy; and grandson, Colin.
