Richard “Ricky” Dean Smith age 64 of Fairfield passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Parkview Care Center.

Open Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Thursday, January 28, 2021, at Behner Funeral Home.

Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 29, 2021, at Maple Hill Cemetery, Birmingham with Pastor Ed Parker officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Parkview Care Center Activity Fund and mailed to Rodney Smith, 1003 West Briggs Avenue, Fairfield, IA 52556.

Ricky was born September 30, 1956, in Wichita, KS to Eddie and Edna (Metzger) Smith and they later divorced.

Ricky enjoyed listening to country music, watching cartoons and collected monkeys.

Ricky will be missed by his brothers, Rod (Mary) Smith and Ralph (Deb) Smith both of Fairfield; sister, Alisa (Jamie) Keiser of Vista, CA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie Smith and Edna Keller; niece, Melissa Smith; and nephew, Aaron Smith.
