Michael Ray Keller

Michael Ray Keller age 56 of Fairfield, passed away peacefully after a 10-year battle with cancer, surrounded by his family, Sunday, December 20, 2020, in his home.

Open visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Behner Funeral Home.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Spencer Cemetery with Pastor Dianne Beghtol officiating.

Michael was born July 31, 1964, in Fairfield to Mark and Twila (Johnson) Keller.  Michael graduated from Fairfield High School Class of 1982.  He went to Truman State University, Kirksville, MO where he received his Associate Degree.   He married Sandra Hootman on November 25, 1988 in Nashua, IA at the Little Brown Church.

Michael worked at Loudens, Ceco in Mt. Pleasant, Air Gas in Fairfield, and retired in 2019 from the City of Fairfield water department because of health issues.  He loved spending time with grandkids and taking care of his family.  Michael enjoyed being outside fishing, hunting, farming, attending auctions and taking care of his pigs.  He watched all sports especially the Colts.

He will be missed by his wife, Sandra of Fairfield; his 3 sons, Jacob (Jen Deutsch) Keller of Fairfield, Jesse (Siera) Keller of Libertyville and Marshall Keller of New London; 4 grandchildren, Alyssa, Blake, Hunter and Sage; his mother, Twila of Fairfield; 3 siblings, Steve (Kim) Keller and Phyllis (Dave) Freeman both of Fairfield and Alan (Kathy) Keller of Pleasant Hill; and many nieces and nephews.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Mark Keller; brother, Billy Keller; grandparents George and Elsie Keller and Robert and Opal Johnson.
