Kathleen Rachel Peiffer

Kathleen Rachel Peiffer passed away May 27 after a lengthy illness. Kathy was born in Ft. Dodge, IA, May 23, 1952 to Nadine and Robert Baker. A few years later they moved to Fairfield, where Kathy graduated with the Fairfield High School Class of 1970.

From the start, Kathy was a cat lover and had many cats throughout her life. She had a lifelong love of nature that included raising plants and star-gazing. She also enjoyed history and reading, particularly true crime stories.  She enjoyed many lifelong friendships and treasured the time spent with her friends.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Nadine Winter and Robert Baker, a Step Father, William Winter, and her sister, Kristine Winter.  She is survived by her daughter, Rachel, and grandson, Jack (Colorado); brothers Kevin Baker (Fairfield, IA), and Kendall Baker (Edmond, OK); nephews Shea Barber (Fairfield, IA), Sam Brobston (Libertyville, IA) and Alex Wells (Oskaloosa, IA); and a Grand Niece (Ellie) and Grand Nephew (Kyerin)

Per her wishes she was cremated, and no service was held.  However, a Celebration Of Life event will be held at a time yet to be determined.
