Judith "Judi" Elaine Brobston

Judith “Judi” Elaine Brobston age 82 of Libertyville, passed away Friday, November 26, 2021, at Sunnybrook Living Care Center.

Visitation for family & friends will be 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Friday, December 3, 2021, at Behner Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Faith United Methodist Church in Libertyville with Pastor John D. Boatman officiating.  Burial will follow the service at Maple Hill Cemetery, Birmingham.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith United Methodist Church or Hospice Compassus.  Cards and memorials may be mailed to Deb Brobston, 3000 West Madison Ave., Apt 403, Fairfield, Iowa 52556.

Judi was born October 21, 1939, in Ottumwa to Jason Leo and Fern Phyllis (Hopkins) Mallonee.  She married Donald “Don” Irwin Brobston in Libertyville on February 7, 1959.  This year they celebrated 62 years of marriage before Don passed away June 27, 2021.

Judi was a nurse’s aide and later started working at Walkers Office Supply until they closed. She and Don worked together on many remodeling projects throughout their marriage and enjoyed their road trips. Judi was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and Eastern Star Chapter 199.  Some of her interests were reading, collecting precious moments, salt & pepper shakers and signs. She enjoyed going to garage sales and auctions.  At Christmas time Judi would decorate the house and put out her Christmas Village.  Most important was spending time with family and being able to cook for them.

Judi will be missed by her children, Daniel Brobston of Birmingham, Deborah Brobston of Libertyville and daughter–in-law, Joyce Brobston of Norwalk, IA; 6 grandchildren, Aaron (Amber) Brobston, Amy Brobston, Alex Brobston, Sam Brobston, Matt (Staci) Brobston and Tony Brobston; 3 great grandchildren; one brother, Mark (Karen) Mallonee of Las Vegas, NV; and many nieces and nephews.

Judi was preceded in death by her parents Jason and Fern; husband, Don; son, Scott; and siblings, Jerry (Paula), Jack, Marlon and Marla Mills.
