Bruce Edward Riegel Sr.

Bruce Edward Riegel Sr. a loving father and devoted husband of Birmingham, passed away July 4, 2020, at University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics.  He was 68 years old.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Cards and memorials may be mailed to Vicki Riegel, 2712 Hwy #1, Birmingham, IA 52535.

Bruce was born December 19, 1951, in Brooklyn, NY to Arthur and Constance (Peskin) Riegel.  He married Vicki L. Smith on August 1, 1986.

Bruce worked at Hill Phoenix as an electrician.  He was a jokester and enjoyed making his friends and family laugh.  Bruce was loyal to his friends and family.  He was a member of NRA and the Eagles.  Bruce’s outside interests were deer hunting and fishing.  He enjoyed going to Iowa Hawkeye football games and was a season ticket holder.  On TV he would follow the New York teams.  Bruce also watched golf and hockey on TV.  Most important to Bruce was spending time with his grandkids.

He will be missed by his wife, Vicki of Birmingham; his 3 children, Jason of Eldon, Cassandra of Stockport and Brian of Fairfield; 5 grandchildren, Colt, Kamber, Karrigan, Autumn and Derek;  and his siblings, Craig (Irene) Riegel of New York City, NY, Arthur (Christine) of Fairfield, Donna (Joe) Fazio of New York and Ellyn (Eddie) De Andrade of Las Vegas.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Constance; and his son, Bruce E. Riegel Jr.
