Betty Lou Clark Foreman Wallace

January 29, 1935 — January 16, 2022

Betty Lou Clark Foreman Wallace age 86 of Birmingham, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Sunnybrook Living Care Center.

Visitation for family and friends will be 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at Behner Funeral Home.  A celebration of Life will follow the visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Danny Cary officiating.

Memorials may be made to Noah’s Ark and mailed to Anna Copeland, 1925 170th Street, Fairfield, Iowa 52556.

Betty was born January 29, 1935, in Stockport to Frank Morey and Lena Mae (Carter) Clark.  She married Merlin Eugene Foreman on May 8, 1955, and he passed away August 12, 1961.  Betty was blessed to find love again and married John Wallace on February 14, 1995, and he passed away January 24, 2000.

Betty attended school in Stockport, Iowa graduating in 1952 and was on the basketball team.

Betty worked many years at the Fairfield Glove.  She also worked at Universal Producing and in the kitchen at Jefferson County Hospital.

Betty enjoyed crocheting and sewing, with that she made quilts for all of her grandchildren.  She enjoyed spending time with her family.  Betty enjoyed gardening and watching birds.  She was also an excellent Sudoku puzzle solver.

She will be missed by her children, Joseph (Kelly) Foreman, Anna (Dwight) Copeland, Richard (Debra Watson) Foreman of Stockport, Tammy Tuttle of Livonia, MO and Jeff (Titia) Cole of Hoopeston, IL; grandchildren, Eric (Amanda) Foreman, Adam Foreman, Kyle Foreman, Justin Copeland (Taryn), Jason (Lindsey) Copeland, Jacob (Kristin) Copeland, Rachael Aplara (Blaine Kruse), Reesa (Travis) Starr, Corey (Alex) Cook, Chris (Felicia) Cook, Tyler (Michaele) Cook, Nikki (Craig) Vyhnanek, Clarissa Cole, Maddy (Adam) Hollingsworth and Erica Cole; 32 great grandchildren; and siblings, Helen Nelson, Maxine Tedrow and Harry (Marie) Clark.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lena; husbands, Merlin Foreman and John Wallace; sister, Shirley Wallace; and brother in laws, George Nelson, Vern Tedrow, Don Wallace; son-in-laws, Steve Cook and Scott Buckallew.
