Wilma Gene Pratt

Wilma Gene Pratt age 89 of Fairfield, passed away Monday, August 29,2016 at Sunnybrook Living Care Center, Fairfield, Iowa.

Visitation for family and friends will be 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 1,2016 at Behner Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 1,2016 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Frosty VanVoorst officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, Iowa.

Wilma was born May 20,1927 to Harve and Effie (Horton) Edlen in Revere, Mo. She married James "Earl" Pratt on March 23, 1947 in Luray Mo. He died on March 23, 2003.

Wilma was a long time resident of Fairfield, she was a housewife, and held different positions at, Sheaffer Pen in Fort Madison, IA, Universal Producing Co., and Chain and Cable. Wilma was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 147 of Stockport, Heritage Club of Fairfield, and Friendly Folks of Stockport. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards, embroidery, bingo, and especially spending time with family and friends. Wilma was a member of the Christian Church of Peaksville,Mo.

Wilma is survived by; children Sharon (Ron) Brown of Fairfield, Linda (Ardie) Syfert of Four Seasons, Mo.and David (Becky) Pratt of West Jordan, Utah, 8 grandchildren; Michael (Katie) Brown, Samantha (Brent) Kromrie, Adam Syfert, Andrew (Lacey) Syfert, Steven(Barbara) Pratt, Kassy (Mike) Oveson, Robert Pratt, Brian Pratt, 11 great grandchildren, 2 sisters; Ilda Frazier, St. Louis, Mo., Betty McGuinness, Kahoka, Mo.

Wilma was preceded by her parents, husband James Earl Pratt, 1 infant great grandson, 1 sister Eva Edlen, and 1 brother Lewis Edlen.
