William Duane Boese

William Duane Boese, age 68 of Fairfield, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017, at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, IA.

Visitation for family & friends will be 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Behner Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be 10:30 am, Friday, September 29, 2017 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastors Jim Clark and Tom Cope officiating. Burial will be at Salina Cemetery.

William was born May 13, 1949, north of Lockridge to Arthur and Viola (Van Sant) Boese. He married Norma Jean Hunt June 12, 1971, at her parents’ home. This year they were married 46 years.

William lived in the Lockridge and Fairfield area all his life. He worked at Dexter in the foundry for 36 years. William loved doing wood working, art work, model cars and trucks, Hawkeye football and decorating the yard for Halloween.

Left to share William’s memory is his wife, Norma Boese of Fairfield; 3 sons, Timothy Boese, Tommy Boese and Todd Boese all of Fairfield; two grandsons, Hunter and Colyier Boese; 4 siblings, Donna Bishop of Packwood, IA, Robert Boese of Lockridge, IA, Lina Coop of Wayland, IA and Kathy McCarty of Lockridge, IA; and several step brothers and sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Viola Boese; and one brother, James Boese.
