Wanda Fern Brewington

Wanda Fern Brewington, age 91, of Fairfield passed away Saturday December 15, 2012 at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday December 21, 2012 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Batavia, Ia. with Pastor Dave Albert officiating. Burial will be in Batavia Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday December 20, 2012 at the Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, Ia.

Wanda Fern Brewington was born May 21, 1921 in Rubio, Iowa to Oscar Leonard and Carrie Evedora Gonder Mourer. She married George Frederick Brewington on November 30, 1936 in Agency. He died on June 16, 1980.

Wanda was a lifelong resident of the Batavia area. Her hobbies and interest included: being a Housewife, Gardening, raising Flowers, she sold both Tupperware and Stanley products, and loved Quilting.

Wanda is survived by 6 children: Arlene L. Davison of Batavia, Ia., G. Joan (Earl) Barnett of Kings Cove, Alaska, John E. Brewington of Batavia, Ia., Kenneth A. (Gaylin) Brewington of Merrill, Wisconsin, Richard A.(Becky) Brewington of Walcott, Iowa and Alice M. (Chuck) Brewington Dyer of Hemiston, Oregon,1 brother: Boyd Mourer of Agency, Iowa, and 1 sister: Thelma Ames of Menifee, California,
21 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Wanda was preceded in death by: her parents, 1 son: Rex Boyd Brewington, 1 daughter: Ruth Ann Brewington, 4 sisters: Donna Mourer and Mirthel Mourer, Alice Keltch and Jeannette Courtney, and 1 brother: Willard Mourer.
