Vernon "Dean" Iseman

Vernon “Dean” Iseman, age 78 of Brighton, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2017, at his home.

Visitation for family & friends will be 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at Behner Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be 10:30 am, Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Crowl officiating. Burial will be at Lockridge Cemetery.

Dean was born September 24, 1939, to Orville and Margaret (Talley) Iseman in Waverly, KS. He married JoAnn Young February 28, 1957. They celebrated 60 years together.

Dean was a farmer and worked 25 years at Rockwell International. He collected iron treasures and enjoyed playing Sunday night cards. Dean looked forward to spending time with his grandkids and family.

Left to share Dean’s memory is his wife, JoAnn of Brighton; 5 children, Theresa Leigh of Oregon, IL, Cindy Merrill, Debra Chambers, Kathy Copeland and Russell (Karen) Iseman all of Brighton, IA; 9 grandchildren, Carree Palmer, Zack Boese, Bobbi -Jo Markle, Shayla Edgington, Eli Lynn, Dakota Copeland, Tommy Leigh, Shado and Nickel Iseman; 9 great grandchildren; and 7 siblings, Homer (Karen) Iseman, Shirley (Ron) Louth, Betty (Phil) May, Wilma (Art) Greening, Dale (Rosie) Iseman, Carol (Richard) Seddon and Charlotte Farley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Margaret Iseman; one daughter, Linda Iseman; one granddaughter, Brandi - Jo Leafgreen, one great granddaughter, Kaelha Copeland; one brother, Dennis Iseman; In-laws, Dale & Edith Wiggins and son in-law Patrick Leigh.
