Timothy John Terrell II

Timothy J. Terrell II age 84 of Keosauqua, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Jefferson County Health Center.

There will be a visitation for family & friends at Behner Funeral Home 9:30 am – 10:30 am prior to the memorial service, Monday, December 26, 2016. The memorial service will be 10:30 am, Monday, December 26, 2016 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Len Garrison officiating. Burial of cremains with military rites will be at Lebanon Cemetery.

Tim was born May 1, 1932 in Ottumwa, IA to Timothy and Pearl (Shields) Terrell. He married Rosemary Jeanette Hixson July 10, 1955 in Packwood. They celebrated 57 years of marriage before she passed away January 15, 2013.

Tim was drafted in the Army during the Korean War. He worked at Lowenberg Bakery until he retired in 1965 due to vision impairment. Tim later opened a bike shop in Batavia and Fairfield. For 21 years Tim golfed in the T.E.E Veterans tournament and bowled on different bowling leagues out of Ottumwa and Fairfield. He was a ham radio operator (WB0SQJ), liked to do woodworking and traveling. Tim was a member of the Ottumwa Saddle Club and a St. Louis Cardinals fan. Most important was being able to spend time with family and friends.

Tim is survived by his 5 children, Becky Terrell-Myers (Brian Poole) of Des Moines, IA, Pamela Terrell of Birmingham, IA, Tim (Keeta) Terrell III of Fairfield, IA, Dan (Evie) Terrell of Warsaw, IL and Mary Ann Smith of Lucerne, MO; 27 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Timothy and Pearl Terrell; his wife, Rosemary; great grandson, Cooper Houk; and one sister, Violet.
