Suzanne Marie Yanda

Suzanne Marie Yanda, age 65 of Fairfield, passed away April 10, 2015 at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday April 15, 2015 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Walton Club.

Per her wish the body has been cremated.

Suzanne was born March 10, 1950 to William and Emma Lematre Hendricks in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She married John Dennis Yanda on March 31, 1967 in Milton, Delaware.

Suzanne lived in Fairfield for 35 years. She is a member of the Fairfield Friends Church. Suzanne was a girl scout’s leader for many years. She loved reading and spending time with her family and friends. She especially loved spending time with her grandkids. She is a huge Philadelphia Phillies baseball fan. Suzanne enjoyed watching her former class mate Franco Harris play for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and huge Star Trek fan.

Suzanne is survived by her husband, John Yanda of Fairfield, IA; one daughter, Tammi Jones of Fairfield; one son, Blake (Connie) Yanda of Waverly, IA; 3 brothers, Johathan (Sue) Hendricks of Texas, Chuck (Jill) Hendricks of Blossom, Texas and Albert Hendricks of New York; one sister Carole (George) Tatem of New Jersey; 9 grandchildren, Christopher (Lani ) Boyd of Fairfield, IA, Michael ( Samantha) Boyd of Fairfield, IA, Zachary Boyd of Cedar Rapids, Trevor Yanda of Waverly, IA, Alex Yanda of Waverly, IA, Kaylie Yanda of Waverly, IA, Abbie Jones of Fairfield, IA, Nathan Jones of Fairfield, IA, Tristan Yanda of Waverly, IA; 1 great-grandchild, Chaison Marshall Boyd.

Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers Bill and Lewis Hendricks.
