Robert “Bob” Leroy Scotton, 90, of Fairfield, IA, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2025, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Visitation for family and friends will be 9:00-10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield. Funeral services celebrating his life will follow at 10:00 am. Burial will be at Wright Cemetery in Fairfield. Memorials can be made to Noah’s Ark Animal Foundation in honor of Bob’s love for Maddie, his four-legged companion.
Bob was born September 24, 1935, in Fairfield the son of Robert and Vuda (Doss) Scotton. Bob spent most of his life with his lifelong partner, Barbara “Bobby” Sell, until she passed away, March 22, 2011.
Bob served with the United States Army in Germany from 1954 to 1956. In his younger years, Bob spent time farming and worked as a welder at Farmall, which grew his love for Farmall tractors. He was also the lead man at Falco Aluminum Casting for many years and spent a lot of time scrap metaling. Bob enjoyed dancing and watching stock car racing and westerns. He and Bobby often traveled in their RV and enjoyed camping and fishing.
Bob will be greatly missed by his children Mona Scotton-Wolfbrandt, Robert (Cindy) Scotton, Steven Scotton, and Bobby’s son Jeff Sell; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his four-legged companion, Maddie, whom he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Lillie, Dwain, Pauline, Leo “Red,” Floyd, Cecil, and Della; and his lifelong partner, Bobby and her son Butch.
