Robert Lee McCarty

Robert Lee McCarty, age 77, passed away on November 1, 2010 at home.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 5, 2010 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Cary officiating.

Visitation for family and friends will be 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 5, 2010 at Behner Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Robert Lee McCarty Family and sent to 2150 236th Blvd. Fairfield, Iowa 52556.

Robert was born May 25, 1933 in Lomax, Illinois to Nelson and Pearl Carter McCarty. Pearl later married Eldridge "Mac" McCarty. Robert married Marcene Ferrel on July 1, 1977 in Jefferson City, Missouri.

He owned McCarty's Doors and Openers and was a member of Fairfield Eagles Lodge #1927.

Robert is survived by his wife, 4 children: Diana (Tom) VanDenBaard of Oskaloosa, Iowa, Tony (Bobbie) McCarty of Batavia, Iowa, Renee (Bruce) Rebling of Fairfield, Iowa and Lee (Brooke) McCarty of Kansas City, Missouri, 1 step daughter: Tina (Bill) Solomon of Arizona, 12 grandchildren: Chad McCarty, Michael Carr, Aaron Rebling, Chris Carr, Rachel Rebling, Caitlin Parr, MacGyver McCarty, Addison Solomon, Andrew McCarty, Nathan McCarty, Riley McCarty and Chloe McCarty, 2 step grandchildren: Chase Feagins and Andrew Helton and 2 great grandchildren: Aaron Helton and Jaxon McCarty.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, step-father, 1 sister: Louise, 1 step-son: Mark Campbell and 1 niece.
