Renea Jean Rippey passed away August 5,2026 at Ridgewood Specialty Care in Ottumwa, Iowa.

     Private services will be held with burial at Fell Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Robyn Rippey, P.O. Box 264, Libertyville, Iowa 52567. Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield is assisting the family.

     Renea was born at in Fairfield on May 8, 1974 the daughter of Russell and Ruth (Cubbage) Rippey. She was raised in Libertyville her whole life and graduated in 1993 from Fairfield High School. In school she enjoyed playing softball and unfortunately got badly injured and had to quit, she was an amazing catcher.

     In 1998 she became a mom which was a big accomplishment for her as she always wanted to be a mom. Renea then decided to be a full-time mom and later had her second child in 2004. In her spare time, she would work with her dad for his mowing business which she enjoyed doing. She continued his business and made it hers after he passed in 2024.

     Renea enjoyed rodeos, car races, watching sunsets, and spending time with her family.

     She is survived by her daughters; Jessica Barnett and Cortney Barnett grandchildren; Allison Dunn and Colton Dunn; sister, Robyn Rippey; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

     She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, James Mrogenski; grandparents, Wayne and Helen (Williams) Rippey and Robert and Betty (Black) Cubbage.
