Raymond "Ray" Gene Haile

Raymond “Ray” Gene Haile, age 53 of Batavia, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020, at Jefferson County Health Center.

A public celebration of life service will be at a later date.

There will be a private family memorial service with Pastor Steve Lamb officiating.  Burial will be at Brethren Cemetery, Batavia, IA.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Packwood Fire & Rescue or Prairie View United Methodist Church.  Cards and memorials may be mailed to Tamara Haile, 1007 190th Street, Batavia, Iowa 52533.

Ray was born December 29, 1966, to Raymond and Jean (Curray) Haile. He married Tari Diane Bennett on March 26, 1993, in Washington, IA and they later divorced.  On August 9, 2003, he married Tamara Helen Kirk in Packwood, IA.

Ray was an over the road truck driver and a diesel mechanic.  He served on the Packwood Fire & Rescue for 20 plus years and was a member of Prairie View United Methodist Church and the Isaac Walton.  He loved to go hunting, mainly deer hunting, along with his bird dogs.

Ray will be missed by his wife, Tamara Haile of Batavia; his children, Garrit (Britney Campbell) Haile of Packwood, Carrigan Haile and Gannon Haile both of Fairfield, Brandy (Auston) Tuecke of Ollie, Amanda (Jon) Reddick of Libertyville and Chance (Hannah) Scearcy of Batavia; 7 grandchildren, Brantley Haile, Carsyn Starnes, Dawn Hathaway, Logan Hathaway, Chaedyn Landtiser, Levi Reddick and Lydia Reddick; 3 siblings, Don (Tammy) Haile of Ollie, Sheryle Thornton and Judy Philips.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Jean Haile; granddaughter, Grace Sanchez; and his bird dog, Maverick.
