Patty "Pat" Jo Miller

Patty “Pat” Miller of Batavia, age 76, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at Sunnybrook Living Care Center.

Visitation for family & friends will be 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 13, 2019 at Behner Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 14, 2019, at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Clark officiating.  After the service burial will be at Batavia Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus or memorial of your choice.  Cards and memorials may be mailed to Cindy Rinaberger, 1517 Lone Oak Circle, Fairfield, Iowa 52556.

Pat was born April 1, 1943, in Ottumwa to William and Luella (White) Piersol.  She married Carroll “Dean” Miller on September 5, 1959.

Pat lived most of her life in the Batavia area. After marrying Dean, she was a homemaker and helped him with the farm.  When not helping Dean, she enjoyed gardening, planting spring flowers, cooking and baking.  Pat was very fond of caring for her farm cats and at one time, raised Old English Sheep dogs. Most important to her was spending time with family and grandchildren.

She will be missed by her husband of 60 years, Dean Miller; her children, Cindy (Mark) Rinaberger of Fairfield and Marty (Tracie) Miller of Batavia; 4 grandchildren, Brenna Rinaberger, Cameron Rinaberger and Ariel Rinaberger all of Fairfield and Morgan Miller of Batavia; 1 great granddaughter, Violet Yeager; and sister, Judy Wardlow of Agency, IA.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, William and Luella.
