Patsy “Sue” Austin passed away at 86 on November 13, 2018, in Fairfield, IA.
Visitation for family & friends will be 10:00 am – 11:00 am, Friday, November 30, 2018, at First United Methodist Church. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 11:00 am, November 30, 2018 , with Reverend Beth Harbaugh officiating. Burial of cremains will follow the luncheon at Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield.

Sue was born August 21, 1932, to Orville and Bess Coen. She married Robert Austin on Valentine's Day in 1965, and they were married for 45 years before he passed away in 2010.
She was employed by Dexter Company as an Administrative Assistant until she relocated with her husband to Pennsylvania.
Sue was a beautiful seamstress and her needlework artistry became her life's passion. She was honored and received many awards for her beautiful creations. Her work appears in museums in the eastern states where she previously lived, in addition to the Fairfield Public Library.
Her family was so important to her and her nieces and nephews always looked forward to a visit to Aunt Sue's each summer. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and looked forward to enjoying outings and having dinner with friends. Her home and family were her life, and she was happiest when spending time with her loved ones.
Sue is survived by her sister, Charlotte Lenhart; step children Douglas (Dana) Austin, Anne Narramore, John (Shari) Austin; nieces and nephews, Doug Lenhart, Ned (Laurie) Lenhart, Mark (Jennifer) Lenhart, Pamela (James) McGuire, Stephen {Alice) Coen, Ethan (Kayla) Lenhart and Amanda Lenhart; and grandchildren Matthew Austin, Christine Anne Austin-Shepard, Cody (Ryan) Austin, Amy (Shawn) Borgen and Jessica (Aaron) Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Austin; her parents, Orville & Bess Coen; siblings Paul Coen and Jane McBride; and niece Dr. Patricia Coen.
