Mervin "Adam" Heckethorn

Mervin "Adam" Heckethorn, age 25, passed away of natural causes at his home in Pleasant Plain, Iowa on Friday, December 23, 2011.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Jim McGaffey officiating. Burial will be in Wright Cemetery, southeast of Fairfield, on Glasgow Road.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 28 at Behner Funeral Home.

Adam was born January 1, 1986 in Fairfield, to Mervin Paul and Tammy Kaye Ehrenhard Heckethorn. He married Christy Good on August 20, 2011.

He was a graduate of Fairfield High School and was a roofer for Heckethorn Roofing. He loved spending time and playing sports with his two boys, playing with his nieces and nephews and spending time with his family; recreational shooting, collecting antique books, watching action movies and was an animal lover.

Adam is survived by his wife: Christy Heckethorn of Pleasant Plain, 2 sons: Ethan Heckethorn and Alexander Heckethorn of Pleasant Plain, his parents: Tammy Heckethorn of Pleasant Plain and Mervin Heckethorn of Fairfield, 3 siblings: Joshua Ehrenhard of Glenwood, Iowa, Ashley (Jesse) Trump of Richland and Colton Heckethorn of Pleasant Plain and his grandparents: Doris (Van) Ritz and Elmer and Patty Heckethorn of Fairfield.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather: Robert Ehrenhard.
