Marilyn Maxine Todd, age 89, formerly of Fairfield, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Hospice of the Hills, Harrison, AR.
Graveside services will be 3:00 pm, Saturday, October 17, 2015 with military rites at Evergreen Cemetery with Pastor Danny Cary officiating.

Marilyn was born January 23, 1926 in Fairfield, IA to Loren F. and Marjorie (Keller) Stark. She married Harry Hickenbottom (he died in 1945 during the Battle of the Bulge). She later married Derold B. Todd in October 1954 he died in August of 2001.
Marilyn served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1954 during the Korean conflict. She was a member of Air Force Sergeants Auxiliary, listed on the Air Force Women’s memorial, a member of the WW II Memorial, and Air Force Memorial all in Washington, D.C. In 1953 she was one of 32 Airmen (the only woman) attending the initial Air Force Stenomask School taught by the inventor. Marilyn was a clerk at the Legal Office at Scott AFB when she was chosen to attend the school.
Marilyn is survived by her son, Jerry (Sharon) Hickenbottom of Georgetown, TX; 3 grandchildren, Chris Pavik, Jeff (Rachel) Hickenbottom, Robert (Kathleen) Hickenbottom; 4 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild; 1 sister, Mollee McCain of Moline, IL; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Loren and Marjorie Stark; both of her husbands, Harry Hickenbottom and Derold Todd; two sisters, Bettye Bruey and Patricia Heston.
