Margie Marilyn Mairet

Margie Mairet age 81 of Fairfield passed away peacefully on July 6, 2022, at Washington County Hospital.

Margie was born on January 23, 1941, to George Albert and Opal Sylvia (McCleary) Mairet and raised in Jefferson County.

She worked at Universal Company for many years, then did housekeeping until her health declined.

Margie enjoyed gardening over the years, cooking, shopping and having pet dogs and cats to care for.

Margie is survived by her longtime partner Richard “Dickie Bird” Mineart, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Opal; sisters, LaVelle Ridgway, Darlene Leahy, Rosalie “Rosie” Mairet and Juanita Jones; and half-brother, Roscoe Webb.

Private Inurnment will be held at a later date at Batavia Cemetery.
