Lyle Taylor, age 89 of Fairfield passed away March 24, 2014 at his home in Fairfield, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday March 29, 2014 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with cremation after the service and a private burial at a later date. Pastor Danny Cary will be officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday March 29, 2014 at Behner Funeral Home.

Lyle was born on April 24, 1924 in New Sharon, Iowa to Harold Taylor and Nina “Burbank” Taylor. He married Miriam “Morgan” Taylor on May 26, 1945 in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Mr. Taylor served in the Army during World War II. After the service he farmed in the New Sharon. In 1965 he and his family moved to Packwood where he started working for Middlekoop Seed Co. for 49 years and was a very dedicated farmer. However, spending time with family and friends was a great joy of his as well.
Lyle is survived by his 3 children: Jim (Elaine) Taylor of Longmont, CO., Sally (Dan) Coborn of Plano, TX., David Taylor of St. Louis, MO., 4 grandchildren: Jeffrey Taylor, Kim Dorman, Kari Pearce and Nikki Coborn-Nowik, 5 great-grandchildren: Taylor Coborn, Coleman Pearce, Hunter Pearce, Alex Nowik and Ava Nowik.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Miriam “Morgan” Taylor, father: Harold Taylor, Mother: Nina “Burbank” Taylor, and 1 brother: Elvin Taylor.
