Loris Eleanor Wiley

Loris Wiley, age 89, of Fairfield, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017, at Sunnybrook Living Care Center.

Visitation for family & friends will be 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm, Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at Behner Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow visitation at 2:00 pm at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Cary officiating. Burial of cremains will be at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery.

Loris was born May 5, 1928, in Crawfordsville, IA to David and Mildred (Buffington) Davis. She married Paul Vernon Wiley on May 11, 1947 at Spring Run Church, Columbus Junction, IA. They celebrated 69 years of marriage before Paul passed away March 9, 2017.

Throughout Loris’s life she worked for Winfrey Heatilator, J& B Plastics, Helen’s Fashion, Spurgeons as a clerk and Universal Producing Company. Loris was a member of the Free Methodist Church and was the church organist or pianist. She enjoyed playing music and singing. Loris enjoyed sewing, piecing quilts, baking, working in her flower bed and canning the produce from her garden.

Left to share Loris’s memory are her 3 children, Loretta Eckwall of Fairfield, IA, Cecil (Chris) Wiley of Sarasota, FL and Priscilla (Don) Schulthess of Sheridan, WY; 5 grandchildren, Terry Eckwall of Fairfield, IA, Chris Barnes of Libertyville, IA, Tony Barnes of Montezuma, IA, Megan Jones of Tennessee and Kyle Wiley of Tennessee; 7 great grandchildren; and one brother, Roger Davis of Winfield, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Wiley; and twin great grandsons, Jason & Ethan Eckwall; one brother, Merlin Davis; and one sister, Joy Crossett.
