Lori "Denise" Scearcy

Lori "Denise" Scearcy, age 48 of Richland, Iowa passed away at University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa, June 18, 2013.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Behner Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be 10:30 am, Friday, June 21, 2013 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Cary officiating. After the service her body will be cremated. Burial of cremains will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association or America Red Cross. Cards and memorials can be sent to: 417 W Main Street, Richland, IA 52585.

Denise was born August 27, 1964 to Ronne and Karen Nelson Holt in Fairfield, IA. She graduated from FHS in 1982. She married Christopher M. Scearcy March 14, 2002.

Denise was raised in Fairfield & lived in Richland for the last 13 years. She worked for 5 years at Agri Plastics as a machine operator. Denise enjoyed bowling, spending time with family & friends, gardening, elephants, frogs and "Cleaning fish". She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Denise is survived by her husband: Christopher M Scearcy, of Richland, IA; 1 daughter: Kirya (Jake) Louth of Fairfield, IA,, 1 grand dog Lilly; 1 son: Greyden M. Scearcy of Camp Pendleton, California; her parents: Ronne and Karen Holt of Fairfield; 1 sister: Kristi (Rob) Hegenbarth; In laws: Mike and Cindy Scearcy of Fairfield; sister in law: Amber (Jim) Meixner of Birmingham; 1 niece and 4 nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and Mother-in-Law: Susan Hewitt.
