Lois Jean Kremer age 72, of Fairfield passed away, Monday, June 11, 2018 at Keosauqua Health Care Center in Keosauqua.
Visitation for family & friends will be 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Friday, June 15, 2018, at Behner Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Word of Life Lutheran Church with Pastor Chris Fisk officiating. After the service, the body will be cremated. Burial of cremains will be in Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.

Lois was born March 29, 1946, in Mason City, IA to Dallas and Carolyn (Malloy) Juhl. She married Donald Kremer June 10, 1978, in Mason City, IA. They celebrated 40 years of marriage this year.
Lois lived in the Fairfield area most of her life. She was a teacher for Van Buren school district. Lois was a member of Word of Life Lutheran Church. She was on the building committee and volunteered at various church activities. Some of the organizations Lois belonged to were Fairfield Women’s Club, Red Hats Society, Tri T and Retired Teachers Association. She was a past member of American Association University Women. Lois collected Santa Clauses and Norman Rockwell memorabilia. She enjoyed flowers, watching birds and feeding animals in her yard. She will be missed by her family and her dog, Abby. Lois enjoyed most spending time with her grandkids, family & friends.
Left to share Lois’s memories are her husband, Don of Fairfield; two children, Cindy Maynard of Birmingham and Julie (Stephen) Ernst of Fairfield; 7 grandchildren, Natalie Miller, Joshua Miller, Jesse (Stacy) Miller, Allison (Tim) Wagner, Alicia Ernst, Sarah (Dylan Walther) Ernst and Michelle (Nate) Arends; 3 great grandchildren, Phoenix Hartman, Adelia Hartman and Emma Peiffer; 6 siblings, Randy Juhl, Steve (Arla) Juhl, Kent Juhl, James “Duff” (Barb) Juhl, Sue (Steve) Okones and Dana Hinnenkamp.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dallas and Carolyn Juhl; great grandson, Brayden Wagner; and her grandparents.
