Linda "Lou" Beth Nielsen

Linda "Lou" Beth Nielsen, age 65 of Fairfield, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Jefferson County Health Center, Fairfield, Iowa.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at First Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Wotherspoon officiating. Cremation to follow service. Burial will be held at a later date.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Monday, October 7, 2013 at First Baptist Church.

Linda was born November 11, 1947 to John and Esther (Kirkpatrick) Winter in Fairfield, Iowa. In 1998 she married Niels Nielsen. Most of her life she lived in the Fairfield and Washington county area. For 15 years she lived in the Des Moines, Iowa area. When she lived in Des Moines she worked customer service at the Wells Fargo.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Fairfield, Iowa. Linda belonged to the Women's Missionary Group, Salt Group and helped with Awana group. Linda loved reading, crocheting and loved her cat (Sweetie). She also liked lighthouse and hummingbirds.

Linda is survived by her husband, Niels Nielsen; 3 children, Jullie Richmond (Wes Davidson) of Huxley, Iowa, Tiff Widmer of Fairfield, Iowa and Sgt. Tara Widmer of Baltimore, Maryland; 4 grandchildren; and 11 Great-Grandchildren

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; and 1 sister, Joanne Winter.
