Lee "Butch" Sell

     Lee Alan “Butch” Sell, 71, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

     A service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.

     Butch was born June 12, 1954 in Fairfield, the son of Clell and Barbara Joan “Bobby” (Hagans) Sell. He married Beverly Ross, May 17, 1996 in Wayland, Iowa. They later divorced.

     Butch worked in construction, roofing, and for Hagans Home Repair. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, attending biker rallies, and going fast in whatever he was doing.

     Those left to honor his memory include his children, Deairatry Hilliard, Lysa Surber, George Farmer IV, Amanda Farmer Elston, Shannon Jameson, and James Mancille-Ruiz; 20 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jeff Sell.

     He was preceded in death by his parents; and a cousin, Roger Holmes.
