Larry Eugene Leafgreen

Larry Eugene Leafgreen, age 61 passed away peacefully at his home in Howard, CO on Sept 12, 2016.

There will be a celebration of Larry’s life with family and friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Friday, September 30th 2016 at the Four Square Church, 1700 South Main Street, Fairfield, IA.

In lieu of flowers and to honor Larry's wishes all cards and memorials can be made to his daughter, Bobbi Jo Freedom Markle, 700 West Fillmore Ave., Fairfield IA. 52556

Larry was born to Clarence and Betty Leafgreen on July 24th, 1955 in Fairfield IA.

Larry worked in construction throughout his life. He took pride in his work and was a highly skilled carpenter. Larry had a lifelong dream of living in the mountains of Colorado. He fulfilled his dream when he moved to Howard, CO in 2008. He was working for DSI construction at the time of his passing. He also was self-employed. His pride and joy was his daughter Bobbi Jo Freedom. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Even though we had miles and miles between us we were together in our hearts. Larry loved the outdoors. While living in Iowa he would hunt for deer, fish, look for mushrooms and target practice.

Larry is survived by his daughter, Bobbi Jo Freedom of Fairfield, IA; his mother, Betty Leafgreen of Fairfield, IA; 3 brothers, Ken (Jill) of Fairfield IA, Ron of Okinawa Japan, Rick (Tammy) of Trenton MO; and one sister, Linda of Newton, IA.

Larry is preceded in death by his daughter, Brandi Freedom Leafgreen; his father, Clarence Leafgreen; and grandparents.
