LaDonna Christensen

LaDonna Christensen, age 73 of Fairfield, passed away Monday, January 4, 2016 at her home.

Per her wish she has been cremated.

Visitation for family and friends will be 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Behner Funeral Home.

LaDonna was born December 25, 1942 to Ray and Ada (Mueller) Meyer in Tyler, MN. She married David Christensen in February 1963 and then later they divorced. June 20, 1993 LaDonna married James Palmer in Fairfield.

LaDonna worked as a waitress at The Elks, Country Kitchen and Copeland’s. She was an avid sports fan; especially watching the Minnesota Vikings and St. Louis Cardinals. Some of LaDonna’s other hobbies/interest were; reading, gardening, fishing and going to the casino in Riverside. She loved spending time with family and her dog, Annie.

LaDonna is survived by her husband, James Palmer of Fairfield, IA; two children, Jodi Randolph of Columbia, TN and Scot Christensen of Fairfield, IA; 5 step children, Rick Palmer, Tommie Palmer, Ronnie Palmer, Terry Palmer and Julie Carpenter; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Randolph, Jason Randolph and Hannah Sobaski; several step grandchildren; and one brother, Keith Meyer, of Minneapolis, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Ada Meyer; and her step father, Robert Elving.
