John Petit

John Petit passed away peacefully on January 18th 2018 in Fairfield, Iowa at the age of 61 after a yearlong battle with cancer.

John is survived by his sister Diane Petit, son Collin Petit, and daughter Rachele Petit.

John was born on February 1st, 1956 in Connecticut to Ann and Leonard Petit. He graduated from Maharishi International University in 1979. John was a successful businessman with a strong dedication for meditation and the TM community. He was passionate about tennis, and when he wasn’t at the dome, one would most likely find him hitting some balls on the tennis court. John had an open heart towards his family, and his friends, and the community of Fairfield.

A public celebration of his life will be announced to take place on MUM campus.
