John Paul Lediaev, of Coralville, Iowa, passed away on August 21, 2021 in the University of Iowa Rehabilitation Hospital at the age of 80.
John was an Emeritus Associate Professor of Mathematics at University of Iowa. He moved to Iowa and joined the University in 1967 after completing his Ph.D at University of California, Riverside.
John is survived by his daughter Ann Lediaev MacDonald, his son-in-law Christopher MacDonald, and his granddaughter Kaylie MacDonald. John was predeceased in 2014 by his loving companion, Mary Hammond Iber of Mount Vernon.
John’s life will be celebrated in a memorial gathering on September 10th at 6:30 PM at Danforth Chapel on the University of Iowa campus. His ashes will be scattered in the ocean later in a private family ceremony.
