John David Harris

John David Harris, age 54 of Fairfield, passed away May 17, 2010 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2010 at Lake Darling State Park Lodge with Frosty VanVoorst officiating.

Family visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Behner Funeral Home.

John was born March 18, 1956 to Lymon and Ruby Arnold Harris in Flint, Michigan. He married Barb Doty and they divorced. He then married Pam Greve and they later divorced.

John served in the U.S. Navy and the National Guard - 224th. He retired from the U.S. Navy in 1998. John also worked as a layout technician at FALCO for 30 years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved riding his Harley.

John is survived by 5 daughters: Shauna Marie McWilliams of Kansas City, Mo, Jennifer Bliss Dooley and Holly Renee Harris, both of Fairfield, Cara Michelle Harris of Des Moines and Malary Lynn Harris of New York City, Ny. and 2 grandchildren: Michael David Dooley and Samuel Keenan Harris-Ulin.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
