John Martin Hahn

John Martin Hahn age 64 of Fairfield, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Jefferson County Health Center.

Per John’s wishes he was an organ donor.

Visitation for family & friends will be 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Behner Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be 10:30 am, Friday, December 2, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Nick Adam officiating. Burial of cremains with military rites will be at Evergreen Cemetery.

John was born October 27, 1952 in Anchorage, Alaska to Harold Francis and Shirley Marilyn (Weirbach) Hahn. He married Cindy Manley July 16, 1988 in Fairfield, IA.

John graduated from Fairfield High School with the Class of 1971. He served in the Army from 1971-1974. John worked at Dexter Company as a foundry worker from 1976 – 2009. Some of John’s interests were fishing, gardening, coin collecting, and collecting baseball cards. He watched baseball and was a Hawkeye fan. John loved his animals.

John is survived by his wife, Cindy Hahn of Fairfield, IA; his siblings, Chuck (Deb) Hahn, Sue (Frank) Nicely, Harold (Kathy) Hahn, Jean Dorothy, Jim (Tracy) Hahn, Sandy (Brian) Davisson all of Fairfield, IA, Bill Hahn of Quincy, IL, Carrie (Dave) Gordon of Iowa City, IA; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Rhonda and Lewis Stoneking,.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Shirley Hahn.
