JoDee Roe, age 77, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren, in Keosauqua.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Fairfield with Pastor Jim Wotherspoon officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Behner Funeral Home.

JoDee was born on June 11, 1934 in Carroll, Iowa to Glenn and Ruby Surris King. She married Ralph Roe on March 22, 1976 in Columbia, Missouri.
She had worked on the assembly line at Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids. Jesus was number one in her life. She collected angels, crosses and Precious Moments. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, garage sales, crafts and gardening. She was a great friend to all and family was very important in her life.
JoDee is survived by her husband: Ralph; 7 children: Mark (Paula) Ekstrom, Terri Jo (Larry) Erickson and Craig Ekstrom all of Cedar Rapids, Doug (Kathy) Ekstrom of Oil City, Pennsylvania, Connie (Frank) Alcantar of Hillsboro, Oregon, Thomas (Pat) Roe of Cedar Rapids and Michael (Marsha) Roe of Fairfield; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 2 sisters: Glenna Gaylor of Georgia and Darlene Lauer of Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother: James King; 2 sisters: Betty Erickson and Dorothy Gustafson and 1 grandson: Mike Roe Jr.
