Jane Hall

Jane Hall age 88 of Fairfield passed away October 25, 2016 at the Jefferson County Health Center, Fairfield, IA.

Visitation for family and friends will be 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the Behner Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:30 am, Monday, October 31, 2016 at the Richland Methodist Church with Pastor Tim Schoepf officiating. Following the service the burial will be at the Hill Crest Cemetery in Brighton, IA.

Memorials: Multiple Sclerosis Society of Iowa or Lou Gehrig’s Disease of Iowa.

She was born February 2, 1928 in Little York, IL to Earl and Josephine Bennett. On March 8, 1947 Jane married Freeman Hall in Monmouth, IL. He passed away on May 22, 1997. Before moving to Brighton, IA in 1960 they lived in Roseville, IL. Jane had many jobs in her lifetime but the job she loved the most was taking care of her family and anyone who needed her. She loved to crotchet and made afghans for her family and many others. Jane was an avid Hawkeye Fan.

Jane is survived by three daughters and one son. Nancy Norton of Green Valley, AZ, Sally Warner (Larry) of Libertyville, IA, Tamara Hammes of Fairfield, IA and Gregory Hall (Angie) of Washington, IA. Ten grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. One sister, Jean Conard of Monmouth, IL and one brother Larry Bennett of Davenport, IA.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister and two brothers, her daughter Peggy Sobaski and a son-in-law Stephen Norton.
