James "Jimmy" Earnest Litton

James “Jimmy” Earnest Litton, age 88 of Fairfield, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at the University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics.

Visitation for family & friends will be 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Behner Funeral Home.  Following the visitation, he will be cremated.  Burial will be at a later date in Glasgow Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Glasgow Cemetery Association.  Cards and memorials may be mailed to Jack Litton, 804 South 4th Street, Fairfield, Iowa 52556.

Jimmy was born January 3, 1931, in Jefferson County to James W. and Frances C. (Earnest) Litton.

Jimmy served in the US Navy during the Korean war for 4 years.  He worked for 25 years at Chain & Cable, 11 years at Agri Industrial Plastic and also farmed.  Jimmy enjoyed driving looking at the country side, going to auctions and listening to the news.

Jimmy will be missed by his brothers, William (Kay) Litton of Iowa City, Jack (Maxine) Litton of Fairfield and Robert Litton of Iowa City; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Frances; and sister-in-law, Loreta Kay Litton.
