Hiroko
Nordyke
Oct 16, 1964 — Oct 3, 2026
Fairfield
Hiroko (Sakamoto-Ojima) Nordyke, 61, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2026, surrounded by those who loved her.
Born on October 16th, 1964 in Japan to her wonderful parents, Hiroko Nordyke grew up and came to America where she had three beautiful daughters.
Hiroko was a loving mother, devoted grandmother, cherished family member, and a dear friend to many. Everyone who knew Hiroko knew just how sweet and caring she was. She had a gentle personality and a heart full of love, and she had a way of making the people around her feel special.
Hiroko had many things she loved and enjoyed throughout her life. She absolutely loved anime and could spend hours enjoying the stories and characters she adored. She was also completely obsessed with Winnie the Pooh Bear, a love that brought her so much happiness. She loved her cats and loved spending time with them. She enjoyed shopping, finding things she loved, and, of course, no one could forget her love of Starbucks and her ice coffee. These little things were a part of what made Hiroko uniquely and wonderfully herself.
Above all, Hiroko cherished her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Stephanie Paulson and her husband, Brandon, Erika Singer and her husband, Bryan, and Amy Nordyke and her partner, Christian Agee. She was a loving grandmother to Ava Johnson, Ryker Johnson, and Sofiya Johnson, who will carry her love and memory with them throughout their lives.
Hiroko leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through her family and all those whose lives she touched. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her.
Though her time with us was far too short, the love, laughter, memories, and little pieces of herself that Hiroko gave us will remain forever. Her sweet, gentle spirit, her love for the things that brought her joy, and the love she had for her family will never be forgotten.
She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
Rest peacefully, Mom. You will always be loved, and you will never be forgotten.
