Gary M. McCormick, 75, of Libertyville, passed away Monday, June 1, 2026 at his home.

     Private graveside services will be held at Prairie Center Cemetery in Packwood. Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield is caring for Gary and his family. 

     Gary was born June 5, 1950 in Fairfield, the son of Bernard Clifford and Mary Ruth (Kime) McCormick. He worked for Agri-Industrial Plastics in Fairfield for 37 years.

     Gary was a loyal Iowa Hawkeye fan, and enjoyed electric trains and gardening.

     Those left to honor his memory include his sister, Francine Woollums of Ottumwa, and a niece, Lisa Dixon.

     He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Vera Shaffer; and nephew, Shawn Dixon.
