Floyd Raymond Berg

Floyd Raymond Berg, age 82, of Brighton, Ia. passed away on September 8, 2010 at his home.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 12, 2010 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Phil Barker officiating. Following the service, the body will be cremated.

Family visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Behner Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to First Lutheran Church or The Berg Family and sent to 2585 159th Blvd. Brighton, Iowa 52540.

Floyd was born July 31, 1928 in Brighton, Ia. to Raymond and Pearl Peterson Berg. He married Kay Joyce Canaday on August 9, 1959 in Fairfield. He lived his whole life in Jefferson County and was a farmer in Buchanan Township. He was affiliated with First Lutheran Church and Jefferson County Farm Bureau.

Floyd is survived by his wife: Kay Berg of Brighton, Ia., 1 daughter: Gail (Terry) Utt of Solon, Ia. and 1 son: Scott (Angela) Berg of Brighton, Ia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister: Maizie Hollander and 2 brothers died in infancy.
