Ernest Richard Giberson, age 91, of Stockport, passed away March 16, 2021, at Great River Medical Center, Burlington, IA.
Graveside memorial service with military honors by the Stockport American Legion, will be at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at Spencer Cemetery, Stockport, IA.

Ernest was born May 20, 1929, to Claude Ernest and Vercie (Harter) Giberson on the Harter place north of Stockport, Iowa. Ernest married Lucille Hazel Bruegge on January 25, 1964, in Bethany, MO. She passed away February 21, 2009.
Ernest was a truck driver and feed mill operator for Prairie Grain, a laborer, farmer, delivered the Town Crier and the Des Moines Sunday Register. He collected coins, watching westerns, pick the banjo and guitar, and playing card games. He was a member of Post 147 Stockport American Legion for 30 years. He served in the Korean War and received the Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars, the United Nations Service Medal and the Combat Infantry Badge.
He will be missed by his children, William (Rebecca) Giberson of Packwood; Connie (Randy) Coberley, Mt. Pleasant; Russell (Poni Oyangorin) Giberson and Richard Giberson of Stockport; 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; his siblings: Ila (Chester--deceased) Coleman, Lillie (Bill--deceased) Mitchell, Frank (Joan) Giberson, James (Audrey) Giberson, Ruth Boyd, Irene West (Gary Henderson), and Darlene Norton.
Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lucille “Lucy”, two brothers Louie and Ralph and two sons Jeffery and Leroy.
