Douglas Ray Spicer of Fairfield IA, passed away of natural causes, Friday, January 15th, 2016, at the age of 65.
Per his request, the body has been cremated and there will be a memorial / celebration of life held at the Fairfield VFW (located at 121 E Broadway Ave), Tuesday, January 19th from 4 to 8 p.m.

Doug was born April 19th, 1950 to Wilfred "Bud" and Audrey Spicer in Grand Forks, ND. He married his wife Carolyn on April 22nd, 1971 in Anoka MN. They would have celebrated their 45th anniversary this year.
Doug had a passion for motorcycles, friends and family, was an excellent carpenter, good with his hands, made the world's greatest apple pie, had a green thumb and was one of the most impressive foosball and pool players around.
Doug is survived by his wife and 4 children, Tim Wood (Chris) of Minneapolis, MN, Stacy Hamer (Scott) of Durango, CO, Sarah Hays (Steve) of Midwest City, OK, Sam Spicer (Amber) of Fairfield, IA; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Penny Fuhr (David) of Seaforth, MN, Debby Spicer (Jerry) of Tower, MN; 2 brothers, Scott Spicer (Pat) of Marshalltown, IA and Tony Spicer of Williston, ND.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Audrey; and brother, Gregory Spicer.
