Donna Lee Leathers

Donna Lee Leathers age 85 of Fairfield, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Jefferson County Health Center.

Funeral service will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Todd Holman officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.

There is no public visitation.

Donna was born July 23, 1931 in Van Wert, Iowa to Aaron and Lela (Lipsett) Lenhart. She married William Leathers October 15, 1950 at Little Brown Church, Nashua, IA. He passed away May 16, 2004.

Donna worked in the recorder’s office at the Medium Security Unit, Mt. Pleasant, IA. She was an avid bible reader, loved gardening and baking. Donna had a smile for everybody and had a great sense of humor. She was a walking enthusiast at Sunnybrook. Donna looked forward to spending time with family & friends.

Donna is survived by her two sons, David Leathers of Richland, IA and Jerry (Nancy) Leathers of Stockport, IA; 6 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and one sister, Dolores Collins of Letts, IA.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron and Lela Lenhart; her husband, William; one son, William Leathers Jr.; and one brother, John Lenhart.
