Dolores Irene Fields 86 of Libertyville, passed away May 2nd, 2018 at Sunny Brook Living Care Center in Fairfield, Iowa.
Dolores was born May 14th, 1931 in Fairfield, the daughter of John W and Velvah (Teeter) Bonnett. She married Arnold W Fields on Sept 3, 1950, at the United Methodist Church in Fairfield.
She attended rural grade schools, Libertyville High School, and graduated from Fairfield High School in 1949. Dolores worked at Universal Producing Co, Pickens Tire and Appliance and Thaddeus Computing, all in Fairfield. She and Arnold have lived on the family farm for the last 50 plus years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren, playing cards, and working in her flower bed and vegetable garden.
Dolores is survived by her husband Arnold Fields. One daughter Colleen Rodibaugh and one son Randy (Kathy) Fields both of rural Libertyville. Four grandchildren, Dustin (Jessica) Rodibaugh, Brandon (Linda) Rodibaugh, Ashley (Sam) Eastburn, and Dakota Fields (Bailee Coleman). One sister, Sharon Potter-Johnston. Nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Marlene Sanaghan and Fern Caves, son in law Steve Rodibaugh and infant grandson Hunter Fields.
Her body has been cremated per her wishes. A graveside service for family and friends will be held at 10 o'clock Monday morning May 7th, at Fell Cemetery South of Libertyville with Danny Cary officiating. A memorial luncheon will be served after the graveside service at Faith United Methodist Church in Libertyville.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established and memorials may be sent to Colleen Rodibaugh at 10214 Rte. V64, Libertyville, IA 52567.
