Obituary

Dixie B. Wege, 94, a resident of Fairfield, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2026, at her home.

A service to celebrate her life will be announced at a later date. Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield is caring for Dixie and her family.

Dixie was born June 19, 1932, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Richard and Miriam (Stage) Bostwick.

Dixie embraced life with an adventurous spirit, an open heart, and a genuine love for people. Throughout her life, she worked as a model, owned a travel agency, traveled extensively, and loved hosting gatherings for friends and family. She was also an active volunteer with the Junior League and enjoyed sharing her love of music as part of a singing trio. She was deeply patriotic, loved her country, and proudly supported veterans.

Dixie had a wonderful ability to make friends wherever she went, welcoming everyone with warmth, kindness, and a nurturing spirit. She had a way of making people feel loved, accepted, and valued. Dixie’s wonderful sense of humor, exuberant personality, and loving heart brought joy to everyone fortunate enough to know her. To know her was truly to love her.

Above all, Dixie cherished her family and was deeply happy to spend her final years living with her daughters, in Fairfield.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Lindsay Oliver and Candace Oliver Badgett, and her son-in-law, Rogers Badgett---all of Fairfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Mimi.
