Denise Lynn Wells

Denise Lynn Wells, age 59 of Stockport passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016 at her home.

Per her wishes she has been cremated.

Visitation for family and friends will be 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Behner Funeral Home.

Memorial service will be 7:00 pm, Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Behner Funeral Home lead by Tanner Archibald. Burial will be at a later date.

Denise was born December 22, 1956 to Rex Keller and Honor Loy (Westercamp) Hickenbottom. She married Michael Wayne Wells November 8, 1992.

Denise lived most of her life in the Stockport area. For a brief time she moved to Florida and then moved back home to Stockport. Denise was a registered nurse and worked at Lee Memorial Hospital in Florida, University of Iowa and Fairfield Hospital. She enjoyed listening to music (Beatles) and collecting dimes. Denise loved spending time with her children and granddaughter. She had a love for animals.

Denise is survived by her husband, Michael Wells of Stockport; her children, Brandon (Brittani) Barber of Keosauqua, Brett Barber of Keosauqua and Sarah Wells of Ottumwa; one granddaughter, Hope Barber; her step mother, Marylin Keller; step father, Fred (Dixie) Hickenbottom; one sister, Deborah Taylor of Columbus, IN; one brother, Darren Keller of Mars, PA; nieces, Jennifer Archibald, Meghan Compton, Areo Keller; and nephews, Tanner Archibald and Levi Keller.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rex and Honor Loy; and her grandparents, Floyd and Aura Keller and Fred and Marie Westercamp.
