Debra Ann Wood

Debra Ann Wood, age 59 of Fairfield, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics, Iowa City, IA.

Per her wishes her body has been cremated.

Visitation for family and friends will be 9:30 am - 11:00 am, Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at New Life Community Church prior to the memorial service.

Memorial service will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at New Life Community Church with Pastor Tim DeVries officiating. Burial of cremains will be at a later date.

Debra was born December 31, 1955 to Roy Daniel and Mary Lee (Hagedorn) Swift Jr. in Spirit Lake, IA. She married Edward Allen Wood January 21, 1995.

She has lived in the Fairfield area since 1993. Debra worked for 15 years at Parkview Care Center as a CNA & LPN. Some of her interest or hobbies were: reading, collecting bears, watching football and rooting on the Pittsburgh Steelers, watching American Idol, The Voice and Dancing with the Stars. Debra looked forward to spending time with family and friends, especially her grandkids. She attended the New Life Community Church.

Debra is survived by her husband, Edward Wood of Fairfield, IA; 6 children, Tracy (Greg) Armstrong of Fairfield, IA, Kristen Manwarren of Emmetsburg, IA, Marcy Manwarren of Mission Hills, SD, Amy (Chris) Bennett of Ottumwa, IA, Nicole Wood of Dallas City, IL and Gary Wood of Carthage, IL; and 22 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Mathias Swift.
