Darlene Sue Lankford, age 65 passed away, Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Van Buren County Good Samaritan Center, Keosauqua, IA.

Visitation for family and friends will be 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Behner Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be 10:30 am, Friday, April 17, 2015 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Phil Campbell officiating. Burial will be at Fell Cemetery, Libertyville, IA.

Darlene was born August 24, 1949 to Melvin Edgar and Willa Mae (Jones) Gobble in Ottumwa, IA. She married Larry Lankford March 14, 1977 in Memphis Missouri.

Darlene worked at Nelson Nursing Home for 14 years as a Certified Nurse’s Aide. Some of her hobbies or interests were: crocheting, playing bingo, computer games, cards, collecting unicorns and tweety bird. She was a member of Eagles Lodge in Fairfield.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Lankford of Libertyville, IA; 5 children, Tim (Petra) Lankford of What Cheer, IA, Pamela (Wyatt) Williams of Libertyville, IA, William (Jacqueline) Lankford of California, Lisa (Jeff) Reynolds of Colorado and Terry Lankford of Missouri; 9 grandchildren, Daniel Lankford, Adrianna Lankford, Camron Lankford, Lacey Lankford, Shane Williams, Jordan Lankford, Anthony Lankford, Alex Lankford and Meagan Thacker; 3 great grandchildren; two sisters, Cathy Ruby of Ottumwa, IA and Barb Topping of Stockport, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Willa Mae Gobble; twin sister, Charlene Elkins; two nephews, Brad Prevett and Earl Elkins.
